10 life-changing lessons I learned from the Nature
Nature has given us so many things we need in our day-to-day life. At the same time it teaches different lessons to help us succeed in our life. A few years ago I went on a road trip with some of my friends and it was life-changing for me. As the place we went had no cell phone tower and we didn’t know how shall we spend our time in a place like this. The trip turned out to be a big moment for me as well as my friends who were on this journey with me. Here are some of the lessons I learned and probably you should too.
Live In Present.
There was something utterly stimulating to live in a place where we can’t use our cell phones. Our lives revolve around a very simple schedule. We wake up when the sun rises and we go to sleep when it sets. You live in a moment and embrace the here and now. For sure it wasn’t fun living away from our families and living out there was getting quite difficult as some 18 year old teens going on an adventure with not knowing anything about the outside world. But I still believe that a bad day in a bush is better than a bad day somewhere else.
Appreciate What You Have.
We lived in a farm where we were woken up by chickens hounding around us and awakening dawn that told us what we have been missing every morning when we used to wake up late. The cows lowing and the morning dew gave us a great start to our day. We then came across some some kids living in those farms playing around with some broken toys as they lived in a small hut which from my guess can fall any time soon. I remember when I got my first ever cell phone how much time I had request my parents to buy me a new cell phone. Looking at those small kids who didn’t even have money to go to school and had to work in the farms with their parents wide opened my eyes and told me that we should appreciate what we have and instead of being greedy and asking to your parents we should earn for ourselves. Those little kids wearing torn clothes with mud and dust on it are so happy with what they have and then there are we who’s parents work their whole life to complete our needs and give us the best of what they can give and still we don’t appreciate it. We have a roof over our head and food to live, that’s what matters the most and not your cell phone and social media status.
Listen to others.
For my whole life, I’ve been a kid who doesn’t listen to anybody and I do what I feel is right. No matter what the results are or what effect is it going to have on me or my loved ones. one of the most important senses out there apart from your eyesight is hearing. Hearing to what other specimens have to say. From the awakening sound by the chickens, to the rumble of the elephants and the butterflies roaming around us, everyone has their story we should listen to. A lot of people like me out there just wait for the gap in the other person’s sentence so that they can speak their own. But if everyone starts talking, who’s going to listen to you?
Love What You Do.
Love is an amazing thing. Everyone should find something they love. For me, it was bike riding and since last mont or two, I’ve been enjoying writing articles as it gives you an opportunity to express yourself. And no matter what, nobody is going to cut you off in middle and start their own story. It can be a thing that influences everyone, it can be a person or it can be a way of life. But when you find something, it will influence everything within you and help you do better every single day.
Be Responsible.
Having said that, if you’re grateful being a part of this world, how can you not want to become active? to make a difference? However small it may be, it matters.
Everything has a purpose.
The beauty about the nature is that everything fulfills a purpose. Everything is there for a reason. The trees feed an elephant, the elephant push over the trees and provide a shelter for smaller animals. We all follow a human cycle which in some way or the other, helps our fellow creatures. And it’s just us, the human species that does several things that makes no sense. Like spending half a day clicking selfies and updating your social media status as if anyone cares what you’re doing.
You Are On You’re Own.
How many times you have been alone just thinking of what you’re doing and is it right or is it going to affect your life in a negative way. The chances are less than 10%. Because we are so greedy for attention that we’ll do some stupidious thing to catch everyone’s attention rather than taking that time and focusing on your life. According to a survey, the decision you make alone and on your own proved to be better and useful to use other than gathering your whole squad and telling them you do and telling the world through social media.
Have Faith In Yourself.
When you live alone, you have to make some decisions. Nobody is going tp be responsible for your decision other than you. Have faith in yourself and make a move. Doesn’t matter if it proves out to be wrong or you fail in it. Life is all about making mistakes. And we humans tend to do a lot of them. Believe in yourself because you are a responsible for your own life. You are ruling your own life and don’t let any other person decide your faith.
